5th Grade #16 AND 4th Grade #23

1. Keyboard first. Do 5 minutes of Typeonline. Go to Typeonline by clicking here. Then do five minutes of Dance Mat typing. Go to Dance Mat Typing by clicking here.

2.Do this review lesson on internet safety. It has many activities, do them all, they’re fun.

Make sure you have headphones in place before you start.

3. Explore these learning games when done, remain in your seats, listen to our guest teacher, Ms Daggs. Any names she gives me will result in many days on the bench, I expect you to treat our guest nicer than you would be to me.

4th Grade Assignment #22

Today you are going to listen to some of Call of the Wild, then practice keyboarding.

Directions:

1. Go to the podcast site and listen to Call of the Wild 4, 5 6 and 7. Make sure you listen to the right ones! Podcast Site click here

2. Open a new word document and type 3 sentneces about the stories you just heard.Tell me what happened to Buck as you understand it. Show it to the guest teacher when you are done. Do not print it today.

3. After you have typed the 3 sentences, you may go to Multiplication.com or Funbrain math arcade.

*Download and open a word document (worksheet) from this blog

*Edit your writing for capitals and periods,

*Make writing Bold, Italic or underlined

*Listen to a story for understanding

Directions:

3. Download the worksheet, then minimize it, so it is ready to go to. Use your guide if you do not remember how. Worksheet click here

4. Go to this site and listen to “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Chapter 1.” by Judy Blume. Answer the questions on the worksheet.

6. Re-read your answers and make sure you capitalize the beginnings of sentences and names.

7. Make your answers on the worksheet bold and italic so they look like this. I gave you a guide on how to do this. We do this so the teacher can easily tell the difference between your answer and the worksheet question.

4th Grade Assignment #20

Today you are going to read web pages for your reports on California Native Tribes.

Directions:

1. Click on the website link for your tribe from the list at the bottom of this post.

2. Have your fact sheet ready to write facts on. you are going to find any facts you can about:

*food

*clothing,

*what the men did,

*what the women did

*ceremonies.

3. Read the web page by jumping around to different places on it with your eyes and finger. You are learning to scan pages. Scanning means, looking at the writing for words you want and not reading the whole thing. When you find a fact write it down on your fact sheet.
