4th Grade Assignment #38 For Guest Teacher 4/1 and 4/4

Directions:

Read directions carefully, stay focused on activities.

1. Go to the Keyboarding links page. Do some focused keyboarding practice for 10 minutes on Typeonline. Then do keyboarding Games for 5 minutes.

2. Get headphones ready, and go to this site here, called Math Live!. After the intro, click on the really small link on the bottom that says “LESSONS:. Go to the “MULTIPLICATION OF WHOLE NUMBERS” lesson. You have to click on the green arrow on the bottom of the screen often. Really do each step, listen and take your time.

3. When you are done do the “PLACE VALUE” Lesson. If you are bored, choose one yourself!

3. Go to this page here to learn about UNIT PRICES of things you buy. Then go here to play the UNIT PRICE GAME. You may use theĀ  calculator on the computer, go to Applications>Accessories?Calculator.

Learning Goal:

*Learn the 5 parts of a friendly letter.

*Learn how to use the spell check tool on a word processing program.

Directions:

We are going to learn something simple, then write your teacher about it.

1. Download this slide here to learn something to write your teacher about. Follow Mr. Litt’s directions.

2. Now we are going to write a letter to your teacher about what we learned.

Here is a guide to the five parts of a friendly letter, use the paper one I gave you or open the digital version of the guide here.

Open a new word document to write the letter on and be ready to follow Mr. Litt’s directions.

3. When you are done writing the letter, go to menu Tools> Spelling and Grammar. Run a spellcheck on your letter. Try it, Mr. Litt will also go over it as a class.

4. When you are done, get permission, then print it..

1. Decide on what you are looking for before you search.

2. Search for web pages using Mr. Litt’s 4 search tips.

3. Copy/ paste or write facts or inspirations you find.

4. Make an outline

5. Write

6th Grade Assignment #6

1. First do 20 minutes of keyboard practice. Do Typeonline for 10 minutes, then you can do keyboarding games for 10 minutes.

Go to keyboard links page for the keyboarding sites.

2. Today you should continue to find information for your bird reports.

Use wikipedia still and read carefully. You may try sites of your own choosing. Look at my guideliines for searching posted on the wall in the 6th and 8th grade boards.

Write what you can on your report template.

Be careful and choose information that really fits what is asked.
